Adult’s First Visit Expectations

We understand your time is valuable. For most adult patients, we schedule a one-hour visit first. Usually, this is ample time to get your teeth clean and to get to know you. If we discover the condition of your teeth and gums need more attention than a routine one-hour cleaning, then we will use the first appointment to allow you to meet the hygienist, to meet Dr. Wood, and to develop a plan to get your teeth and gums healthy.

We strongly encourage new adult patients to take advantage of our complimentary welcome call from Dr. Wood before the first visit. This allows you to get to know a bit about Dr. Wood, and it will enable him to get to know a bit about you and your health. These phone consultations are scheduled at select times. During this conversation, occasionally Dr. Wood may discover that your oral condition is such that it requires an in-office visit before you have your teeth cleaned.
